Form 300A season

Form 300A season: know the dates, then prepare the summary.

The Form 300A summary of last year's work-related injuries and illnesses is posted from February 1 through April 30. Establishments that must submit it send it to OSHA electronically by March 2. SafeGora prepares the OSHA 300 log and the 300A summary in your employer workspace for your own review and certification.

The two dates

Posting and electronic submission.

February 1 – April 30

Posting the Form 300A summary

Establishments that keep OSHA injury and illness records post the annual summary for the previous calendar year no later than February 1 and keep it in place until April 30, where notices to employees are customarily posted. A company executive certifies the summary before it goes up.

29 CFR 1904.32(b)(6)

March 2

Electronic submission, where OSHA's criteria apply

Establishments that must submit injury and illness data to OSHA do so electronically by March 2 of the year after the calendar year the forms cover. Whether an establishment must submit depends on OSHA's own criteria, not on this page.

29 CFR 1904.41(c)

Who submits is OSHA's call. SafeGora does not decide which establishments submit. OSHA publishes the criteria, by establishment size and industry, on its injury reporting page. Read OSHA's injury reporting criteria
What SafeGora prepares

We prepare. You file.

The OSHA 300 log

Your team records cases in the employer workspace. SafeGora prepares the 300 log from those records, so the year-end totals come from the same case records.

The Form 300A summary

SafeGora prepares the 300A summary from the log for your own review. A company executive at your organization examines the log and certifies the summary in the workspace. SafeGora does not certify it for you.

Your posting and your filing

You post the certified summary. If OSHA's criteria apply to your establishment, you submit it to OSHA yourself. SafeGora does not post, file or submit on your behalf.

Through the season

Post the certified summary where employee notices go, and keep it up until April 30.

  4. 04 · By March 2

If OSHA's criteria apply to your establishment, submit the data electronically to OSHA.
