Advisory calculators.

Educational coverage and recordability examples, sourced first-report references, bounded heat-index estimates, and posting-window math. Not a filing, legal advice or a signed determination.

Coverage topics — education only

Coverage is not determined here. Federal OSHA and State Plan coverage depends on the physical worksite, employer and activity. Knowing a site exists does not establish the applicable regulator or SafeGora product support.

Recordability illustration — not a decision

Explore some general recording criteria. This is not a complete decision tree. This tool never concludes that a case is not recordable.

Enter days away. A blank is not zero.

No assessment. Enter days away. A blank is not zero. This limited illustration is not a recordability decision. It does not establish employer coverage, work-relatedness, a new case, exceptions, significant diagnoses or special recording criteria. Review the full 29 CFR Part 1904 rules with a qualified person. Zero days away does not mean not recordable.

First-report finder

Workers’ compensation references, not OSHA recordkeeping or severe-incident reporting. Select the physical worksite, not headquarters. Confirm which jurisdiction governs the claim.

Select the physical worksite’s jurisdiction. A directory entry alone is not filing readiness.

Preparation/export readiness: not assessed. Transmission: not provided by this finder. Carrier notice, agency filing and receipt confirmation are separate obligations.

Heat index — bounded educational estimate

This bounded calculator accepts 80–112°F and 0–100% relative humidity. It withholds estimates above 137°F rather than extrapolate into the chart’s unnumbered area.

Heat index 91°F (extreme caution). Educational estimate only; not a safe-work determination.

Method: NWS Rothfusz regression. Adjustment: none.

For shade and light wind only. This is not WBGT, a work/rest schedule, a worksite measurement or a complete heat-illness program. Sun, exertion, clothing and individual conditions change risk. An unavailable or low estimate does not mean safe.

Method, rounding and bands

We compute the NWS simple estimate and average it with air temperature. At 80°F or above, we use Rothfusz and its humidity adjustments. We then round once to the nearest whole °F. Bands use that displayed value: below 80, below caution; 80–89, caution; 90–104, extreme caution; 105–129, danger; 130 or above, extreme danger. These non-overlapping ranges follow the linked NWS heat-disorder table, not local alert thresholds.

Posting window

2027-02-01 through 2027-04-30. Federal 300A summary posting window is Feb 1–Apr 30. Overlay notice rules follow the worksite pack.
